Development over the course of 3 years. A simple design that works! A smoke device that works very much like an M18 smoke grenade. You cannot buy M18's new anymore unless you find surplus that come with a heavy price tag.
There have been a few variations of this smoke device, hence the M8 designation. The 8th design created, is the one that has worked the best and flawlessly.
This is a DIY kit. Meaning everything you receive is inert. There is no included ingredients that would otherwise make this an active smoke device. I provide a highly detailed field manual to make the mixture and finalize the construction process, using my provided components, to construct a fully built smoke device.
The main kit with everything included is meant as a starter kit. The kit is designed specifically to get you acclimated to the building process. Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast.

Innovation
Designs are almost never 100%. There is always room for design changes and or innovation that evolves a product. With that said, all smoke device bodies, the M8, M8 mini and M8 Max now have a safety spoon version. Much like a traditional smoke grenade, you hold the body/spoon, pull the pin and throw. When the smoke device is thrown the spoon releases and the ignition starts. This adds a little more safety and delay into the smoke device.
Why buy the M8 kit?
Intended Use of the M8 Head Design
The M8 Head design is strictly for pulling a string mechanically and consistently. Although it may be used for a smoke device, It's only designed purpose is to be a spring loaded return device. It is ultimately at the discretion of the end user what kind of string and to what purpose it is pulling it for.

Safety
This cannot be stressed enough. Always take safety seriously. While making the smoke mixture, use safety glasses. While using the finished M8, wear heat resistant gloves. Failure to do so may result in injury. It is at the sole discretion of the end user to use proper PPE equipment when handling. The M8 smoke device and smoke get hot enough to cause burns and could possibly start fires if near flammable material.

This is a kit specifically designed as a process to get you started. Once you are familiar with how it is done and the components used, you are free to pick up spare parts and improve on the process to make more in less time.
What is the M8 Smoke device?
The M8 is a instant deployment smoke device. Utilizing an internal pull wire igniter. When seconds count the M8 delivers. As soon as the pull ring and pin is pulled out of the head the ignition is instantaneous.
Why shouldn't I just buy already made smoke devices/grenades?
You should. Don't get the kit. Just kidding. Not sure why the ones manufactured only last a minute and a little windy day makes them uneventful but they are. The cost of really decent ones are close to $200 with shipping for a quantity of 4 and claim they provide 75,000 sq ft of smoke but still fall short of promise.
What makes the M8 better than the rest?
You are legally allowed to buy the rest of the components to make a smoke device. With a little initial investment you can make your own that are far more superior to ones you can buy. This is the closest you'll be to having a smoke device similar to a M18.
I used up everything in the kit, do I have to buy a whole new kit to make more?
Absolutely not. I offer spare parts at a reasonable price to keep you going, to make more and to be more efficient in the process.
Can I use this at public airsoft fields and other events?
Not exactly. This is DIY and not tested through any official authority for safety or its use. The M8 is strictly for personal use, prepping, and or private training.

The Igniters
The igniters are the skylighter style pull wire kit. When you choose the option of the M8 kit with igniters, it is ordered through Invention Incarnate. If you choose to order them yourself, you may do so by clicking the button below. The ignitors are not marked up and is done as a courtesy.
Choose the correct version of the M8 smoke device
M8 Mini:
- Same burn rate as original M8

Do not use this indoors unless completely necessary. "indoor" is only a recommended setting for an effective smoke screen as the volume of smoke is not a lot for completely open areas.
